A New Life

Well, I guess it is past time for an update. These past few months have been full of depression and uncertainty. To feel like your life has been ripped open and fallen apart cannot begin to describe what I was feeling. Today I am amazed at the turn of events and am completely humbled at the sight of my God. He never left me, no matter how alone I felt. I would like to thank all the people who prayed for me during this time and for those who let me know that they were there for me and had my back through it all. I am pleased to say that it is behind me and I can move forward. Through it all, I put back on some weight that I had lost and had major migraines and stress. Now I can say that I can turn it around and move forward. I was able to get back to work this week. Hallelujah! It was great to see my co-workers again and to finally feel that I could make a difference again. I love my job and I know that is rare. Not many people can say that. I love my co-workers and I love the families that I come into contact with. I consider myself blessed beyond measure and keep asking if this is real. 

Family updates:

Lee took a part-time job at Wal-Mart as a door greeter and he likes it because he gets to talk to people. Our congregation is still behind us and we are looking for opportunities to grow our youth program constantly.

I told you about myself. I am finally back to work and back on my weight loss program in the coming weeks. 

Geoffry got a call back for a job at Wal-Mart this past week. Not sure when he will start but he also got a letter for a civil service job so his outlook is much better.

Becca is staying at home with our adorable grandson Marcus. She has been a big help to me.

Chris took a fall at camp so his ankle has been recovering. He is no longer in Boy Scouts.

Jamie is doing okay. She has an upcoming appointment with a dermatologist on Monday so pray that they can do something about her skin.

Still have our handsome dog Kobi and three cats (one is an outside cat).

Pray for me and tell me how I can pray for you. Love you all, but most importantly love my God who will always be for me.

New Journey - The New Real Me

Well, I have started a new journey. Life has changed in so many ways in the past 6 months. We moved to another state, Lee and I both took new jobs, we left our oldest to finish high school, just to name a few. I have been able to seek medical help with my asthma and sleep apnea, which have GREATLY improved life for me. I have also decided to proceed with gastric bypass surgery at the end of the summer. This is not a decision I took lightly and have prayed and thought a lot about it. It seems to me that the benefits far outweigh the risk. I have so many health concerns and this is by no means the easy way out. I thought that at one time, however I have been educated on the real deal for weight loss surgery. This is going to be a hard journey, but worth it in the long run. Baby steps. I will take MANY, but eventually I will come out on the other side walking proudly. My first goal is to lose 15 pounds before I go back to the nutritionist and fitness specialist at the end of this mo

The New Me

About this blog: I do not usually do this. I am hoping to have great success this time because I have much to say and would like to have a place to say what is on my mind without having a lot of bad mouth back at me. (unless warranted-it could happen) I am at a new place in my life and would like to start fresh with a new lease on life and what I can offer it and what it can offer me in return. A little background: I have just celebrated my 37th birthday this past week. I have been married to the same wonderful man for 17 and 1/2 years. Together, we have 3 beautiful children (Two boys 12 and 7, One girl 3). THE MORE I TRY TO CHANGE THINGS, THE MORE THEY STAY THE SAME.

No. I refuse to believe that things can't change. I have often tried to change certain aspects of myself or my family with no regard to their own personalities or what God is choosing to do in their lives despite me. Well, no more! This is a new start, a new beginning, a new set of eyes are upon this new chapter. It is no longer about how clean or messy the house is or how much weight I have or have not lost; rather, it is what God is seeing when I react or am proactive to what is going on around me. How can I teach my children how to behave or how to truly follow God if I am not showing the same picture? How can I get mad at them judging me, when I judge them by the same standards? No more.
